Callidus Design has been appointed by NHS Shetland to detail the works required to refurbish the Central Disinfection Unit air handling units at Gilbert Bain Hospital. There are 2No air handling units – one serving the ‘dirty’ areas including the wash room and pharmacy area whilst the other serves the ‘clean’ areas which includes the IAP cleanroom. The design shall ensure that the refurbished units are fully compliant with all current design guidance and SHTM standards. The works will require the disinfection unit to close for a period of time. It is therefore imperative that Callidus Design accurately detail the works within the specification and drawings to ensure that the contractor can carry out the works in as short a timescale as possible and without any delays.
