Refurbishment of Admin Building, Sullom Voe Terminal

Callidus Design has been appointed by Sodexo Remote Sites to carry out the mechanical and electrical (M&E) services design for the major refurbishment of the office area within the Engineering Services Building at the Sullom Voe Terminal. The works predominantly involve the re-purposing of existing rooms to form a new Muster Station and Kitchen facility.  The Muster Station is being provided as a place of safety for site personnel and shall incorporate refurbished toilet and wash-up facilities, drying rooms, mess facility and a locker area.  A new regeneration kitchen facility will also be included within the Muster Station complete with dry store, wash-up facility and food prep areas.

The entire muster station is to be pressurised with respect to all other adjacent spaces to ensure that wherever possible, the occupants within the Muster Station are protected from the introduction of toxic or flammable gases which may be present elsewhere on the site due to an unexpected event.  Airlocks are to be provided at the boundary of the Muster Station to assist with the maintenance of the pressurisation regime.
